"He once told me that on every B-24 he worked on, he would sign his name and leave a note to whatever Aircrew would fly the plane. He would always write it on the wall of the fuselage right above the right waist gunners position, inside the aircraft. Sometimes he would write out a prayer or just leave a note and sign his name saying - Thank you
