Ben Hardy is raising money for the Moorfield hospital and British Legion.  

Can you help brave schoolboy Ben, of Bishops Stortford, celebrate ‘Dunkirk Spirit’ on Armed Forces Day?

He’s a WW2 fanatic and I recently spent time with him and his Mum talking about WW2, especially Dunkirk  We had some fun!

ARMED FORCES DAY

Armed Forces Day in Bishop’s Stortford is held annually in Castle Gardens at the War Memorial, featuring a Service of Thanksgiving and military displays. Organized by the local Royal British Legion, the event allows residents to come together, support past and present service members, and interact with local cadet forces and emergency services.

Key Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, June 27
  • Opens 1:30
  • Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Castle Gardens War Memorial, The Causeway, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2EL

Program Schedule

  • 1:50 PM: Arrival and assembly of veterans, local dignitaries, VIPs, Royal British Legion members, and the public at the War Memorial.
  • 2:00 PM: Service of Thanksgiving conducted by the local Branch President.
  • 2:15 PM – 4:30 PM: Military-themed displays, charity stands, and demonstrations by the Army Cadets, Air Cadets, and emergency services (adjacent to the Terrace Cafe).
